The Místic store is located on Carrer del Port, one of the main streets in the old town of L’Escala. A street full of life, with constant traffic, next to the old fishing port.

This is the fourth Místic store that we designed on the Costa Brava and the challenge was clear: create a Mediterranean-style space that would disappear a little. That would act as a background so that the clothes would stand out on their own.

The answer was neutrality.
A continuous base of sand-tone microcement runs throughout the store, even on some of the displays. The finish changes depending on where you are – smooth on the floor, more textured on the walls – but the whole remains calm, uniform, without interruption.

It is on this basis that wood takes on meaning.
Benches, displays and counters provide warmth and balance. The main pieces have been custom-made, with the attention and detail that only the craft can provide.

To avoid a static space, the lacquered iron hangers are lightweight and not fixed. They can be moved and rearranged according to the season.

It is no coincidence that most of the displays, podiums and stools have soft, rounded shapes. They facilitate circulation and, incidentally, remind us that the sea is just a stone’s throw away.

One aspect that we always work on with great intention is lighting. In this case, the light accompanies the journey with a double objective: more precise on the clothes, more open to the rest.

The fitting rooms have been redesigned to be larger and well-lit, inviting you to stop by.
And two details that may go unnoticed (but are important): behind the counter, a curtain in the same color as the background hides everything that makes the store work. And to reinforce the Mediterranean atmosphere, nothing better than some ceramic pieces and some touches of vegetation.

Now, when you enter Místic, the street noise is outside.
Inside, the rhythm is different.
